“A multi-disciplinary approach is the only way we will effectively support newly diagnosed people living with HIV.” – I ACT Partner

A networked approach to programme management and implementation allows I ACT to have impact across geographic territories on the international, national, provincial and local levels.

I ACT is coordinated Integrated Access to Care and Treatment, I ACT, is coordinated by South Africa Partners and the National Department of Health.

  • Provincial Departments of Health (PDOH) and partner organizations oversee and customise I ACT’s implementation to suit the needs of local communities.
  • When I ACT was first implemented, local community development partners designed small business projects to build the resources of I ACT graduates and others living with HIV.

When I ACT was first implemented, regional coordinators partnered with community organisations in impoverished areas to plan projects that build the life skills of participants while increasing income, access to food, clothing and other resources.

I ACT also operated a Small Grants Programme to provide limited financial support for project start up.
